Directions

From Ridgway, travel west on West Main Street out of town. Past the town limits, West Main Street becomes Laurel Mill Road on some maps or Spring Creek Road on others. Continue past the village of Arroyo and go down the long hill to the old town site of Irwin. Laurel Mill/Spring Creek Road becomes River Road. Site 17 is a walk-in site upstream of Irwin Run Canoe Launch; stay on River Road to access the other sites along the river and turn up FR 132 at Millstone (heading uphill away from the Clarion River) to access sites along Millstone Creek. Use care in driving the road and watch for bikes and people crossing from campsites to the river.

We spent the night here 5/27/23. We met Ed extremely nice man. He upgraded us to a secluded area. Excellent place to camp. We will be back for sure!! ❤️

Wasn't hard to find, toilets smelled terrible, but very useful, very peaceful spots, no service though, what little service that could be found wasn't enough for much on cricket service.

Free camping along the Clarion river with pit potties close by. Went in late October and the colorful fall leaves and winding river views. I think we were the only campers at the group of 4 sites in this river spot. Enough room to pull our camper van in and even some fire rings to enjoy some hot dogs and s'mores. Not many FREE camping experiences like this travelling through Pennsylvania.

Nice camp sites for car camping. But since they are first come, there's a good chance you're not going to get a sight to camp at. There are vault toilets. The clarion River is beautiful and very short walk from the sites. There is very poor cell coverage in the valley

Definitely out of the way and you will think you're lost but once you're here it doesn't get much better for dispersed camping. I barely have LTE T-Mobile service at my site but its enough to post this review so good enough. Not much for down trees and such so firewood is a bit tricky to come by and there is an outside wood ban in effect which means if you're bringing your own wood into the forest you're putting the forest at risk of infestation.
