I never write reviews but felt like this experience needed one. We did not not camp here and never will after our run in with the owner. My family and my two cousins’ families were tubing down the White River with our 12 kids between all three families. Our kids were getting tired so we were looking for a way to get off the river. We passed this small campground and found a landing after it so we got out there. The landing was so far away we didn’t even know it was part of the campground. I called an Uber and my cousin and I got a ride back to our trucks so we could pick up our families and tubes. As soon as we got everything loaded up and begin to back out, multiple vehicles pull up from sides boxing us in. This guy walks up to my window and asks me what we are doing on his private property. Realizing we were trespassing and assuming this guy was the owner, I politely apologized and explained to him our situation. I thought he was being understanding until he decided to threaten to send his German Shepherd after my kids if he ever saw us there again. I calmly told him that the threat was uncalled for and that we were just trying to leave. He then got very upset. He was shaking and throwing his hands around and cussing at me right in front of my kids. (By the way, the oldest out of all twelve kids is my 11 year old daughter.) At this point it was obvious I was not dealing with a rational person so I did not waste any more of my breath. I waited for the Jeep to move that was blocking me in and we left. I can’t believe this guy is really running a serious campground. It’s very small and run down. As we were pulling out, all the signs by the road said keep out, and road closed. There’s definitely not anything welcoming about it. I wonder if it’s more of a friends and family type place. We have a travel trailer and camp all the time. I have never seen a campground like this or met an owner who treats people like this. My advice would be STAY AWAY!!!

Okay, this is not the campground to take your kids to for a luxurious week of camping. It is lacking in many areas. The restrooms are not great, showers are no better. The grounds are in need of some TLC. Having said that, can you set up camp, enjoy the river and full hook up? Yes.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. It's just more of a roughing it type of camp ground. GLAMPERS, steer clear, you will be dissatisfied. Me, my wife and 2 toddlers had a good time and lived to tell the tale. With some love and attention this place could be a gem.

A very nice rustic setting. Because of frequent recent river flooding, which beautifully borders the entire 35 acres, the owner has had difficulty keeping up with road repair and grass cutting. I thoroughly enjoyed being there in the peaceful rustic riverfront property and would look forward to returning or recommending it to friends.

Just getting ready to head home. We have been here 5 days and enjoyed it. The owners were great to us and I have a hard time believing some of the negative comments about them.

The park is about like the state parks out west. If you want swimming pools and small sites this is not for you. The setting on the river is beautiful and peaceful so you have to entertain yourself. The fishing has been good.

From our understanding the owners bought it almost 3 years ago and it was very neglected. They are bringing it back as they go. We cant’t wait to see it in another couple of years!

We will definitely be back.

I grew up in riverwood directly across the river from this campground. It used to be a very accommodating place. Previous owners have no control over their dogs. They have farm animals that they neglect days without water food same with their dogs. I have had their dogs attack mine when they were inside a fence around my RV. They have cows chickens pigs that they do not feed and water properly. They are very rude, speed limit is supposed to be 5 mph owners and adult children drive around in excess of 20 miles an hour and they run their dogs without leashes. Overall this place needs to stay shut down unless it’s under different management. I have we needed for them to bring it back to the glory that it used to be with no appreciation. They are renting to people even though they’re supposed to be closed. My suggestion is , three other campgrounds that are nearby I would go to them.
