We've been coming to CLM RV Park since 2021. Back then, it was well maintained and attractive. Over the past 2 years, their attention to the grounds have diminished and the grass and weeds is rarely mowed. Even the nicely landscaped entrance has been left to grow up in weeds. If it weren't for the fact that this CG is just 7 miles from my inlaws, we wouldnt stay here. It would be ok for an overnight stay since there arent many Harvest Hosts in the area, but that's about it.
Overall 3 stars, location and specifically one Maintenance worker..5 stars. Arrived , called number, no answer, left message. Wondering if I should proceed to campsite. Please, leave message on email ,text etc..on whether to proceed to campsite if theres no answer. Some RV parks dont allow this. I did, and here's an issue ALL RV'Ers NEED TO KNOW---SOME SITES THE UTILITIES ARE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE! AN EXTENSION CORD WILL NOT WORK! OK, I received a message much later, no other sites available. Next to me were tent campers, couldnt the Hosts have switched our sites? Kudos and 5 stars to Maintenance, provided the proper extension. Location is convenient, would say peaceful...except for the close train horn. Which prompts a question...why doesn't Cedar Lake have a no train horn policy? Many communities do. There aren't any other options around.
We have stayed here 3 times now. Been good each time. My only complaint is temp set at 60 in the bathrooms makes for cold showers and the need for a ton of paper signs telling people what not to do.
Loved it! We went camping, sailing, kayaking, bike riding, and played pickle ball and corn hole. The place was beautiful and everyone was so friendly. The rates were perfect. We will be back!
