Out on Sherman Island, county roads are awful, and good luck seeing county sheriff on patrol. But the park itself is clean, well kept. Other than the hand laid papers for the roads and landing pads, there aren't any amenities. Wireless signal is tough, by achievable. No park wifi available.

Cool breeze and beautiful sunsets!

We stayed at this park from July 29th 2022 through August 21st, 2022 (3 weeks)

We called in on short notice as we were trying to get away from the Yosemite fires and they were able to accommodate us for the length of time needed.

The staff is friendly and will take you to your site. We were in site 25 a back-in site with full hook-ups. Each site has enough room for your rig and a single vehicle. We have an extra car, so we ended up using an overflow parking spot for our truck.

The sites are level and have beautiful hand laid concrete pavers surrounded by grass to create a cozy setting. The Sacramento River is the background and offers an array of water sports for outdoor activities. The park offers a nice size enclosed dog park with plenty of room to play ball and run around. The park is beautiful and well maintained and being so close to the water with the cool breeze is nice.

There are a couple of major things to note:

The first is the road to the park is not the greatest, but it is do-able. We have a 42' 5th wheel and we made it just fine. It did get a little scary a couple of times as there was traffic coming from the other direction driving like a bat out of hell, and the road is narrow.

Another thing is to pay close attention to your speed while driving in the park as there is a 5-mile-per-hour speed limit that is heavily enforced. If you are driving over, you will get a nasty gram text about it, they are not kidding about the speed limit. We got a couple of texts when we were going 6 or 7 miles per hour.

Also, the park is right off the main road used to get there and there is a lot of traffic with trucks zooming along like a bat out of hell, you hear them all day long, and need to be careful when crossing the street to get to the water.

Finally, there are a lot of permanent residents there that leave their AC units on 24/7 and depending on the spot you are in, you could be affected. We were unlucky to be in that section. We have a newer 5th wheel that will cut the power if the voltage is too low so the AC isn't running too hot. We kept losing power for long periods of time and when we talked to the maintenance guy, they said that it was common to lose power in that section, that the wiring needed to be updated to accommodate for the newer trailers with multiple AC units. We had to rely on opening all our windows and doors with no power in over 100-degree weather.

The only thing that saved us were ice, icy pops and the strong winds.

if you are looking to stay in the area and enjoy some water parks, this park could be a fit.

This park is very well managed, clean and quiet. We are just about to check out after a month here and it's been a great stay. Large dog park is nice and there is nice green grass around each unit. Very manicured. Management is responsive and friendly. The 2.5 mile levee road is tough, but also why it's clean and quiet, likely.

Don't bother with your awnings though, it's always about 20-30mph winds cutting across!
