Went to the Red Rock Balloon Rally. It was fun and seemed to find everything I needed like food, water, restrooms. It was a lot of fun

It's always a great place for events. Unfortunately, this year, the Hot Air Balloons were grounded and couldn't take flight. Hopefully, next year.

Sadly this place needs some attention. Low to no maintenance shows - site not maintained, (our picnic table in over 3" of dirt/sand), trash everywhere including tires, and weeds over grown for a few items. The sites are not clearly marked. Many occupied sites have rigs/trailers that have nit and cannot be moved - unclear what they are doing with their sewage since the sites do not have sewer hook ups. Many also using more than 1 electrical outlet. Let me also mention to at least 4 loose dogs in the park. We had to carefully walk away with our dog as the loose dogs were approaching us barking and snarling. No collars and no one outside to call them off. The views are SPECTACULAR!! This park could be a gem. As of now, I'm glad we are here only one night. Due to the roaming dogs we could not sit outside with our dog because they kept running over. I understand that this is NOT a resort, but looking at the Google photos Red Rock CG was previously taken care of. I hope things can be turned around and make this park a clean, maintained park.

The people were really nice on the phone. They took my reservation over the phone. I didn’t know it was going to snow last night so I’ve been calling trying to book another night but they’re not picking up and there’s no answering machine but I know they’ll come by if they want money. The other campers are friendly there are full timers here and they’re great for borrowing stuff from lol. I would definitely recommend this. It’s reasonably priced and there’s hiking trails when it’s not snowing. Or I guess if you wanna go snow walking, it would be good.

Beautiful park with some great hiking trails. Not ADA friendly trails. If it's dry, you still need to be careful on the trails. There a few steep steps but overall completely worth it. Kids could do it but just keep them away from the edges😁
