Beautiful park with great waterfalls. It is nice to stroll by the canal and patomac river and walk over some bridges with the view and sound of the falls with water rushing benith.
I have loved walking and biking this beautiful trail off and on over the past 40 years, and this is a particularly scenic and easy-to-reach section for our family. We have a national park pass, so the use fee to park in this area is not a deterrent.
The close, difficult section of the billy goat trail is pretty fun. You get some good views of the river and falls along the way.
