PMCA is a beautiful campground right on Moose Pond. Great swimming beach and a place to moor power boats. Campsites are nicely wooded and not too crowded. Katie is very friendly and made sure we were happy with our experience.
Beautiful and sort of undiscovered campground with sites for tenting or travel trailers with hookups as well as quaint cabins. Each site has a fire pit and dry split hardwood firewood is just $6.00 for all you can put in a provided milk crate. Free hot showers at the bath house and a coin-op laundry facility. Trash and recycling bins are onsite. Great kids play area with covered picnic platform with tables for your gatherings. Large sandy beach area perfect for kids or that late afternoon dip.Owner is so energetic and very personable, she lives at the campground and expects no nonsense in the evenings. Canoe, kayaks and paddle board rentals available and the fishing is great. Loons, ducks and owls in the evening are commonplace along with many other native birds. Pleasant Mountain hiking trails are near by with one trail within a short walking distance from the campground. Small boat launch and docks are part of the campground. Rates are very reasonable..just a great all around little campground. I return every year. See for yourself, bring your friends and dogs are welcome too. Call Katie for reservations.
I had the pleasure of staying at Birch Point Cottages over the Memorial Day weekend. My experience was wonderful, and the cottage was comfortable, and exceptionally accommodating. The surrounding campgrounds are in a peaceful setting right along Moose Lake. An overall enjoyable, refreshing experience!
One of my new favorites. All wooded sites, quiet, lake was really clear, clean bathrooms, hot water no-fee showers, kayaks and a paddleboard rental. No rec room like large family campgrounds but a small play area for kids. Sites not as private as I usually like but for a lakeside campground it’s better than most. Firewood $5 what you can fit in a milk crate. Seasonal campers were all friendly and there surprisingly weren't many. Owner was very friendly and won’t tolerate loud, obnoxious guests. She takes great care of the place. Stayed 3 nights, will return.
Friendly staff greet you when you arrive. Tent sites are spacious and clean and close to beautiful Moose Pond. Love to wake up to the loons, owls and birds calling. Enjoyed taking my kayak out to explore all the coves and nearby bridge. Great place to stay to get away from the busy world. Can't wait to come back.
