A wonderful getaway inside a little paradise
UPDATE January 2024
A ride through shows it to be quieter than most years. They still take very nice care of this Park
It is quiet, well kept, and everyone does their part in keeping it that way. The staff was quite helpful and professional. They lead you to your spot, and explain all amenities available to you. We'll definitely come back next year.
The landscaping at each lot is beautiful and fully grown for privacy and nice sized lots for plenty of room outside. That’s about where the positives stop. The pool was under construction the entire two weeks we were there and no end date in sight. We were told by people there who own that it was supposed to be done in November and per staff they aren’t supposed to give any inclinations on the end date. So no pool and constant construction traffic from people working on it. The guard at the gate picked and chose who he let enter and wouldn’t allow our refrigerator repairman in which led us to have to reschedule our appointment for an entire week and a half later. Then, 4 days before we were to leave, management contacted my husband and told him the owners of our site had arrived and wanted us to move. We asked where on their website it mentions this is a possibility of happening as we wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. They said lots of your choice are never a guarantee and it says that on their website. That is a bit different than moving in the middle of your stay. They expected us to pack up everything on our site, with two kids and a dog and move across the lake four days before our checkout. Yes, the grounds are beautiful but management was far from helpful and the possibility of having to move in the middle of our stay makes this place not returnable for us. Two stars for views and landscaping, 0 stars for management.
Amazing resort! Great pickleball, fantastic pool and hot tub, beautiful club house and super friendly people. We love it here
I owned at this park for 3 years….there are some pluses..large spacious lots …good pool/hot tub..nice Pickelball area…wide roads.
Tons of minuses:
No dog park
No playground and any other activities for children.
No activities for exercise..no basketball,shuffle board, tennis,corn toss,bocce,horseshoe..Ect.
Management Company is terrible..unresponsive, mostly doesn’t answer the phone or respond to voicemails.
Laundry room is shared with mail room and is an old realtor office and has 2 washers and 2 dryers.
No security at the gate office as it used to have. Front gate is in a non-working condition frequently.
A lot of good people but many stuck up as well.
There are just a few weekend events in January through March scheduled.based around manufactures of RVs and related equipment coming in and picking up the tab.
Cost.. POA fees of over $8000.00 per year or more.plus your Taxes and other related fees.
I’m not naive..I own another RV lot on Hilton Head Island..none of these issues exist there.
Years ago it was much better with other varying exercise activities, large laundry room and a responsive management.
Many people won’t like this review because they are owners there and the truth effects there resale value….
With so many other fine luxury Motorcoach parks in the area it is best to shop.
