About Campground

Welcome to Pap's Glamp on beautiful Lake Hartwell, South Carolina. This place has it ALL!

Featuring a semi private nature and lake front setting, you will stay in a brand new 16X14 wall tent with porch, a queen mattress and 2 twin mattresses. There is a refrigerator, a small heater (seasonal), and A/C units available (weather pending). This Glamp is also complimented with it's own private bathhouse. The bathhouse includes running and hot water, a separate sink, and a functional toilet. There is a firepit to cook on or you can bring your own camp cooking setup (gas stove). \*\*Firewood and gas propane are NOT provided*. If your not into cooking, there is a Pizza joint and BBQ place close by (3 miles). A short walk down the path leads you to a cove where you can*\* kayak (2 provided)\*\*, fish, or float. Private parking with easy load and unload. Lake Hartwell State park is 3 miles away and has a boat launch. While there is no dock on this space, you can beach a pontoon boat safely. There is also a 1/2 mile nature trail for a therapeutic hike. We ask that pets be kept on leash as there may be other hikers. Further exploring can be done at Table Rock State Park. Pack the kid's, load the pet's and "Common down."

Directions

VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Google will bring you the wrong way.

From I85 Exit#1 and go north on Hwy 11. In about 3 miles google will have you turn onto Rock Creek Rd. DO NOT TURN HERE... THE ROAD IS WASHED OUT AND YOU WILL GET STUCK! Rather continue on HWY 11 an additional 2-3 miles and turn RT onto Isbell Rd. There is an Exxon gas station on the corner.

At this point google will show you good directions.

Continue on Isbell Rd (maybe 2 miles)until Rock Creek Rd and turn RT. In about a mile the road will turn into gravel. Continue down the hill and turn LT onto Rock Creek Bay Dr. Pap's place is about a mile down on the RT.

Pap's Glamp is located at 594 Rock Creek Bay Dr. Turn Right into the driveway and make the first immediate Left (LOOK FOR PAP'S GLAMP SIGN). You can park and walk down the trail or you can decide, based on what you are driving, if you want to drive down to the sight.

Literally a joke- not sure who is buying the cigars for this place unless they’re catering to people who don’t know anything about cigars. Wine store is ridiculous as well. You have people who have relocated here from major cities- and you’re selling Biltmore wines, and blueberry or strawberry wines- no one wants that! Bring in LaMarca Prosecco, Joel Gott, Charles Krug at reasonable prices and you’ll kill Ingles.

Used to be my goto store. I don’t know why you would buy a smoke shop and not know about anything in it. They hardly speak English and communicating is almost impossible. Ever since it was sold I haven’t heard a single good thing about it. I asked for simple screens, and they had no idea what I was talking about!
