Beautiful view, one way road up the mountain, gate is only open two weekends during fall
Great views. Open for visiting only the last weekend in October and the first weekend in November. You can always hike over there from the road which is three-quarters of a mile hike up the mountain
The view from the top of the fire tower was amazing. You couldn’t get to the top and walk around on the platform. But you could easily get to the top of the stairs, so you were as high as possible. I did park at the second gate. I tried not to block anything. But there isn’t really a good place to park there! My tracker said it’s only .8 miles from my truck to the tower. It was an easy walk. It’s an old forestry road. It seems like a trail, because it’s totally wooded. I’m going back again tonight!
