Panther Lake Campground has now become Panther Lake Revolving Door Campground. In the past three years, since the new company took over, most seasonal campers are leaving as fast as they come in. Besides the dramatic increase in the rate (up $1600) in the last three years, to pay for the new rental cabins they bought, it’s also the rude and unprofessional manner campers get treated in while camping. The management and security act with a, “You do what I say” or there will be consequences attitude. Military like or even jail type. When security, Stan, knows you have a gathering at your site, whether its small or large, he lurks in the background waiting for a minor reason to make a big deal out of nothing and say you are breaking rules. He shuts his truck lights off and hide behind trees then pop out with a flashlight in your eyes and say “You don’t want to mess with me, I said to keep your voices down “. If that’s not an aggressive, unprofessional confrontational threat, then I don’t know what is. Stan takes pride in getting people evicted. Unbelievable, this is how the place is run. When Brent, the manager came the next morning with the evictions notice because Stan lied and said we were cursing him out, and the dog was barking all night. Stan did this, knowing he mistreated us the night before, and was afraid we would put in a complaint about him. Brent’s response was that his police officer would not lie.(Police Officer really). Sounds just as crazy. We have been seasonal campers for eight years never had any inflictions. The biggest injustice was served. So just beware if you don’t mind being bullied around and walking on eggshells then this is the place for you.

This is a response to the “Owner’s” response:

Is it me or does anyone else notice that whoever gave a one star review the “Owner “ comes back with a lame, rude, sarcastic, obnoxious response that is full of fear and anger. Typically of how Brent runs the campground, thanks for confirming my post. It’s funny how the “Owner “ knows what happened when the “Owner “ was not even there. The “Owner “ should maybe consider looking into all the situations that gets people evicted, and there has been plenty of people who were asked to leave, and sit down with all the parties involved and listen to all sides of the story. Maybe they would see that it’s not always the campers that were guilty of doing wrong. Maybe just maybe security could over exaggerate the situation. The “Owner “ should try to be reasonable instead of getting all defensive on some minor criticism. Laughing and talking with friends is not rowdy conduct. It is friends having a great time and making memories. Isn’t that what camping is all about? Or did security (Stan) forget that it’s a campground and not a prison? Like I said before, if you don’t mind being bullied and walking on eggshells with unfriendly managers and staff then this is the place for you.

We have been to Panther Lake a few times now and we have loved the place and our kids do as well. The only issues I would say that they need to take care of is the response time on propane fills and definitely need to overhaul the restroom and absolutely need to fix the hot water issue for the showers, please guys get a manageable supply of heated water for the showers. We didn't have a full hook up sight and had 6 people that needed to shower in those and they all froze. Other then that please is great!

Just a dry run with my boondocker.

I wanted to check out the facilities at Panther Lake before doing any overnighter. It looks GREAT! My partner and I walked the campus and the amenities, especially the SHOWER AND 🚻 facility seemed spot on. Extraordinarily clean with a general store very accessible to where I'd be parking my tiny RV.

I wish this place was closer, because it was one of the better places I stayed this past year. Everything with the site was nice except the fact the hook ups are located between two sites so you need to make sure your cabling are pipes are long. Having the amenities on site such as tennis and playground is awesome. There is almost zero cell service for VZW and T-Mobile, which made it difficult to "work from home" but having the cable hookup was neat. The only real downside was the location of the showers which wasn't terrible, but still a hike from where we were located. Place was very clean, the staff was super friendly.
