I stayed for about 6 months in 2021. This is a fantastic park for its price. Chris was awesome. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.
Been here about a year and I love it. Chris and Carla are amazing people. They've made us feel right at home. The facilities are always cleaned and well taken care of, the grounds are kept and manicured. There is a pier right outside of the gate in walking distance, it's a great place to fish or walk your dogs to. We have really enjoyed living here.
This was a great little park and was perfect for our family. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a late check in and map had all the info we needed to get to our spot. At the site we were able to level out fast and connect quickly. It was also easy to get in and out of spot. Also great little fishing spot close by.
This park is a fairly quiet place to stay short or long term. There is a pool, laundry room and bathing facility to utilize. Every place has good and bad points and this place is no different. Everything is fine until you do something management doesn't like. Then you're given demerits that can get you kicked out. Too many rules and regulations. Tread lightly.
This park met/exceeded my expectations. We took a chance on a semi last minute trip from Tucson AZ to Corpus Christy this summer, I googled RV parks went over my options and landed here. It checked all the boxes. The site was clean, the hookups worked as advertised and the Wi-fi was even adequate for the kids to stream Netflix on our Roku TV. The showers and bathrooms were in working order and clean, the laundry had working machines and large dryers. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed winding down at the end of the long days at the beach in it. The staff were attentive and friendly, I had to ship a propane regulator for my trailer to the office and I got it just fine. Mustang and North Padre beaches are 15 minutes away! There are stores and gas stations nearby, if you don't have HEB stores where you live I recommend you give it a shot for groceries and even tackle. The local Pier nearby was fun for the kids in the evening, dropping shrimp in the underwater lights on the pier produced a few small local fish and great memories. We spent a week here as a family and me 4 days after (due to waiting on some repairs to my tow vehicle) the whole stay was safe and quiet.
**The "downsides" and I only point these out to not be misleading are; Its in a neighborhood outside a naval air base the homes on the way in were mostly clean family homes, with one or two exceptions. The inland waterway has a particular aroma, we didn't notice it while in our camper but when the wind is just right you can certainly smell it while outside. The smell in no way affected my stay or even bothered me, but if your sensitive to the smell I imagine almost anywhere you stay on the inland side will have a similar smell. This is not the destination RV park, this is the safe place you park your rig while you explore the beaches and local fare. This is a safe place to call homebase while you are out vacationing and adventuring. **
I enjoyed my stay, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a launching point for their daily adventures. Give Padre Palms a try! I enjoyed the vibe here and will be coming back SOON!
