Welcome to Ouachita River Haven!

Nestled between Ouachita National Forest property and the Ouachita River, our Haven is a peaceful little slice of nature for you to take a break, catch your breath, and enjoy the outdoors! Property has 1000 ft of river access, with canoe & kayak docks, swimming hole, volleyball and tetherball, horseshoes, swings.

We offer hiking, mountain biking, and river shuttles as well as canoe/kayak/tube rentals and shuttles. Such trips should be reserved in advance by messaging us or visiting our website.

Our office sells firewood for $5/bundle. We also have a small array of custom woodwork items from our woodshop, freeze dried snacks and hiking restocks, food from local vendors, and souvenirs!

All primitive sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and campfire grill grate.

Electric sites are 30 amp, if using for tent camping you will need a 3-prong converter (we can rent one to you for $5 if you do not have your own). RV/Camper MAXIMUM length is 28 feet.

Tipi rental is a camping experience only; it does not have electricity, a/c or heat. There are solar lights inside. We do have a Queen Sized outdoor bed and bedding available to add to rental for $10/night.

Bunkhouse is a camping experience - bring your own bedding. A/C, heat, electricity, TV & DVDs, Microwave, and Mini fridge are inside. Guests use campground restrooms

Campground restrooms and showers are a short walk from campgrounds.

We are pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed at all times that they are not in a tent or camper.

The owners are AWESOME, the camp grounds are cozy and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay! The only down side was the amount of Huge Spiders in the bathroom and showers. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful and peaceful campground right on the river!

Had an awesome time celebrating my son’s birthday!

One of the owners, Casey, came down to move a table over for us and stayed to chat for a minute.

Super nice guy!

We stayed here for two nights in the Enchanted Cabin and had a perfect stay! The owners were away but we met and talked frequently with people looking over the property who were also our neighbors! They were so kind and welcoming and even invited our family over for a nice campfire! The property here is beautiful and we spent our time exploring the campground and river. It’s so quiet and tucked back, so peaceful! The cabin itself was nice, super cute and clean! Beds were comfy. We visited Wegner mine while here, what an experience!! The best part about this place was truly the resident dog, Shop. He was so, so sweet and would just hang out with us which was great since we left our own pups at home. Our kids adored him and spent a lot of the time he wasn’t hanging out with us, searching for him! :) We definitely hope to be back someday!

We stayed at the windchime cabin for three nights. We went sight seeing during the day. The cabin was very nice, beds were comfortable. Plenty of beds to sleep in and Casey was very nice and always ready to make our stay comfortable and safe. The area is very secluded, quite and private. It sits about 70 yards from the river and you can drive down to it too.

The only down side to the cabin was a lot of lady bug type bugs in The upstair rooms and the refrigerator was not cooling properly, but like I said, we used it to sleep and did sight seeing during the day. Overall it was a great stay!

Thanks Casey!

We stayed on the campgrounds not in one of the cabins. And we absolutely loved the trip. We stayed five days on a campsite right on the river! The grounds were clean and well kept. The management was helpful and super friendly. The view was magnificent and any staff we met was helpful in our needs and giving directions or pointing out things near. The area is secluded enough that our cell phone did not work (yeah!) but close enough to run to town for needs and groceries. We even made a day trip to Hot Springs!
