The park is lovely, with a pomd to fish in, hiking trails and picnic pavilion access complete with stone fireplaces. I highly recommend spending time here.

Not impressed with the lack of trail maintenance. I’ve been to many state park trails and this is shameful. No reason anyone should have to walk through thorns and overgrown brush.

We rented the large covered pavilion for my granddaughters 1st Birthday and it was perfect! Would definitely rent it out again for another event!

After Labor Day you don't have to pay to reserve a Pavillion for your event (birthday party, cook out, or plain get together). As a result, it's "first come-first served."

The 1st Pavillion is the best: near the little lake, parking lot, playground & the CLEAN bathroom building.

The fireplace was a God send because it was a cold October morning. We got there when the park opened, 8am, and we built a fire to keep us keep warm. We were warm during set up & during our event. The fire added a nice touch (no children at our event-all were safe).

We were sure to pour water on the waning flames before we left.

A good time was had by all!
