Location is great! We’ve been at this site for almost 3 months, living there part time. I’m a travel nurse who goes to the camper the days I work, so being near Yale New Haven is wonderful. The space is well maintained, safe (security camera present), and Don and his son are fantastic!! Communication is great, his response time is impeccable, neighbors are nice, a bunch of locally owned places to eat, & grocery stores near by. Perfect for our needs.

I believe it's our 3rd winter here. I believe there is either one or 2 other places u can stay yr round if u wanted or needed to ,they do offer storage if u need a place to store ur rv or boat I'm pretty sure for a lower rate u can store something here . And nick and his father who own manage and run this place are very cool people. Def one of the better owners we've come to know. They don't really offer to many ammentities. Like bathrooms and showers ,but they do have full hookups and heated water hook ups ,and they have a laundry with 3 of each and thier newer and work pretty good

. But some of the pluses are right out the driveway they have 2 gas stations and the one on the right. Has the cheapest gas I've seen , but u also have tractor supply like 2 miles away so what we do b4 pulling into our spot we drive to tractor supply and fill our propane up ,and it lasts like 2 months maybe 3 then we just unhook and drive over and fill up again .ours I believe is a 15 lb tank bout 25 to 30 to fill not bad. ,also u have everything within 3 miles in both directions Walmart. Aldis some great places to eat. U have a pho place which is really good there's also a Spanish place called Piasa it's fantastic 3 older Spanish ladies cook and from my review which has 100k view. And 250 k followers. And I rated it a must try if ur ever on Rte 80. And there's a plethora of stores restaurants as well as a recreational and medical dispensery for Marijuana. There's a bunch of businesses plus ur close to 91. And 95. There also a huge truck stop 2 miles away . Anyways. If ur looking to store a boat or a rv or trailer call nick he's a great guy he pretty much over looks this place I do believe his father owns it. But just good people. But like I said if ur looking for a place and u need 2 or 3 months it's Def cheaper then paying 1800 for a 1 bedroom in New haven. And if ur paying anything cheaper ur in a high crime and drug areas and the 3 winters I've stayed here I only seen the cops here once . And I believe there's only 20 spots for RVs and usually they get taken up pretty fast. There is 2 or 3 open now and it's Nov 17. So give them a call. Def a good place to stay.

Stayed here as a travel nurse for 3 months, the RV park did the job, the proximity to Yale was nice, however, for the price you pay per month the owners could do more. Adding a few simple additions would have improved the stay for us. For example fencing in the "dog area" so dogs could actually run, improving the washer/dryer facilities (the dryers would never fully dry our clothes), including electric in the bill as that adds between $150-$250/month in the summer in addition to the $1150 monthly. The way the park is set up everyone is on top of each other, so spacing the lots out a bit more would be nice as well.

State RV park is a great little year round RV park. The staff is super helpful and friendly. They gave us time to get all set up before even worrying about payment. When we decided to stay an extra week they accommodate our stay with no issues. There is a nice little spot for dogs to do their business and a nice laundry area. They do not offer showers. And they are not the cheapest place. But definitely quiet and safe
