A peaceful wooded area with a running brook alongside picnic areas with grills and hiking trails. Ample parking and Porta-Potty relief stations that are cleaned every 2-3 days.
Completely unmaintained. Pond is just a weedy sand pit. No usable picnic tables. Trash all over the place. Porta Potties are filthy.
This used to be a wonderful place to walk and picnic in. Not any more.
I absolutely love this park for my photography sessions. Beautiful scenery, plenty of space to run and jump! Prrfect for the action shots!
10.8.22 This is one of my fave places to hike in the fall because it's peaceful and colorful. I have a bad knee so there's one spot in this trail that is rocky so I go much slower. But it's so much fun. I have seen a snake here every time I hike it but that is just part of nature and being outdoors. If you're new to hiking I suggest you follow the AllTrails map. This park has lots of parking, picnic tables, porta potties, spots to fish, hiking trails, and beautiful views.
Great place where you can either take an easy walk right next to the river or take a more challenging hike. Very few mosquitos and the park was quite empty on a beautiful summer day, which we loved. On a hot day you cool off by sticking your feet into the River 😊. One of my favorite places to go for a walk in this corner of CT.
