Beautiful, remote lake at the edge of the wilderness area of Mt Hood.
Lake smelled really bad. Kinda regretted getting in could have picked up some illness. Road was really bad must need a 4x4 to get there
ROUGH drive to Lake. great camping area though. two tables.. ish. both missing one seat. definitely recommend.
A Fun drive in my lifted Subaru Forester. The Lake is small but crystal clear and filled with salamanders! If seclusion car camping is what your seeking than this checks all the boxes. The campsites are primitive and ancient but there are a few tables that a cheap table cloth can make into a great camp kitchen. I recommend bringing a small watercraft to explore the little lake and relax to the silence of the Salmon Huckleberry Wilderness. No views of the lake from the sites and only two entry points fortified by sticks over the marshy bog! Happy Camping!
