A group of 6 of us did a canoe trip from Moss Bluff to the Ocklawaha Canoe Outpost. The morning we arrived the staff had everything ready to go and check in was quick. They provided a rundown of the river and camping areas and after a quick shuttle ride we were on the river ahead of schedule. Three days on the Ocklawaha was amazing. We saw alligators, manatees, snakes, monkeys and numerous birds and fish. We had time to paddle the Silver River after catching the Siver Springs State Park shuttle up to the spring head. Our campsite the first nigh was along the river o a high bluff. It was quiet and very relaxing. The second night we stayed at Gore's Landing. It is a county park and was full of campers. It did have restrooms, running water and outdoor showers. This is a beautiful river and flows well. We managed to average about 3 miles an hour. Upon finishing our trip the staff met us at the river and transported our gear back to the outpost where our vehicles were parked. There is a shower available to clean up at the outpost. Highly recommend the Ocklawaha Canoe Outpost for day or multiday trips down the Ocklawaha River.

Cozy cedar wood cabins, family friendly. Ocklawaha Canoe Outpost helped us with shuttling for our Silver and Ocklawaha river canoe camping trip. We stayed at the outpost one night before the trip, and then finished our trip at the outfitter's and stayed an additional night. The Silver and Ocklawaha Rivers are beautiful and wild, with more wildlife than I have seen on any other river. You can also paddle about half a mile down from the outfitter and see the massive Eureka Locks, fully built but never used.

Great service, good people. They were super organized and efficient. The property was clean and well kept and though I didnt rent any, I could tell the gear was in good shape and properly treate(very good sign!).

I worked with them just for transport of my kayak for a trip from Gore's landing. I wanted to do longer but they guided to the right trip and they were right. I booked the morning of and she was waiting for me with everything ready to go by the time I got there and gave a full rundown of all the cool places to check out along the river.

He helped me load the boat and was super great converation. I could tell from our chat they really care about their guests. Both that they have a good time and their safety. Sounds like they would make sure folks don't get in over their head.

He picked up and brought my boat back from the water side and helped me load back up. They opened up the office for me to grab a shower too. I will be back to stay with them in the cabins and take my son down the river! Great folks.

We rented kayaks for a leisurely day paddle down the Ocklawaha River. Theresa and Lance were absolutely wonderful. In advance Teresa helped me decide which tour to book through e-mail inquiries. We thoroughly enjoyed the lighthearted conversation with them both pre and post paddling and with Lance during the shuttle. The paddling exceeded our expectations. The abundance of gators and other wildlife was visually stunning and the 4 ½ hours we were on the river just flew by. We had a spectacular day on the water. A highly recommended activity!

This is an amazing spot for a canoe trip through wild Florida. Lance and Teresa are great - friendly and helpful and they’ll do whatever they can to make your stay and paddling trip a pleasant one. The Ocklawaha is one of the finest paddling rivers I’ve ever been on in Florida. The river is shaded, with wild undeveloped banks for the entirety of your paddle. It has a decent current which makes paddling easier while still being calm and easy to navigate. It’s a beautiful peaceful way to get out in the wilderness. We did the overnight trip from silver springs and I’ll definitely be back to repeat
