Wow what an awesome experience. We had campsite 71 and it is in a really nice area. There is plenty of shade and it was about 50 feet to the water. Some of the other surrounding sites were right on the water, but ours was just ducky for us. The bathroom was really small but had been slightly updated with her countertops and toilets. The bathhouse was the same but is was cleaner than the bath house at JC Cooper. After visiting this campsite I doubt we will check out any others on Kerr Lake. We walked out to the point where there is more camping and these spots were also really nice. There are several beach spots that are mostly sand (not like ocean sand, but better than rocks at many lake beaches). They also have a small playground where the main beach is. Overall one of our best camping experiences and we will definitely be back.
Great campground! Many sites have their own sandy beach and 15 minutes away is Pino's Pizza. Great take out or dine in! It makes camping, glamping!
We were impressed with the view from Site 57, but you can bet your *** we will never select that site again. It was so unlevel that our Grand Design couldn't auto level even with over 6 or 7 blocks under the rear outriggers. Not only was it very sloped from front to back it even had a side to side offset. It appears this was a loop added and not really considered as our neighbor on the site next to us had to call a tow company to get her small pull behind camper out of the site due to the same issues I have noted on 57. Please level these sites out or stop renting them until they can have some maintenance on them. Campground was clean and well attended to otherwise but do not try to put your camper on that loop.
Clean campground with good sites mostly. Site 50-52 are good. Site 53 has a steep driveway and you’ll need like 60’ of power cord. But overall I’m happy with our site 52. Some sites need major leveling gear so come prepared. Some need nothing. We’ll return
