The paved trail was definitely a hit it's not too long perfect for riding my rollerblades there is a little cut off path that goes back to the river looks like it'd be great for some catfishing especially with the river up but it only gets three out of 5 stars because the park closes at 9:00 p.m. I'm sorry but the best catfishing happens at night
Nicely shaded running area. Ran along Ridge Rd on running/biking paved path then into wooded area down to the river. Not a lot of people around. I didn’t see any bathrooms along the way.
Nice area that my son and I hiked around during cub scouts outing. Our goal was to go to a setting like this to enjoy a short hike/walk and pick up any trash along the way. Although it didn't help the cub scouts goal for cleaning up after humans in nature... I was very pleased to see that this area had very little trash on the trails.♡ It seems as though the people in this area all respect a clean natural habitat because the trails and park areas were mostly litter-free. BUT... the couple of trash receptacles on site, were overflowing and seemed fairly neglected.
The only reason I did not give 5☆ is because I think parks department or facilities needs to have more frequent check-ups on emptying the above mentioned trash receptacles. Otherwise lovely place to get out to quality time in nature
