A near perfect weekend getaway gem if your goal and aim is some quiet "me" time. Went with some friends on their first ever camp with new trailer and we were not disappointed. Location is off the beaten path but your only about 15-20 minutes away from resupply.
We were met at the entrance by Judy and while we had instructions for arrival, her presence and guiding us into the sites proved important. We parked our 41 ft motorhome in a pull through site (23) and our friends backed their 30 ft trailer into another. Our site was a bit sloped and took a little work to level. Their site was near perfect. Was not able to clearly discern the sites as we pulled in and was extremely thankful Judy guided us. A little grading and perhaps signage and this location is easily 5 stars.
Minimal amenities do not take away from the charm of this place. FHU sites, catch and release fishing, paddle boats and playground equipment. Being a ranch means animals and horses, goats and cows were all out and about (safely separated from inquiring humans).
Wifi was good and cell reception for both Verizon and AT&T were usable for those that must remain connected. No OTA antenna reception but again, we were in search of a quiet place. Light a fire in the firepits and roast some marshmallows.
Enjoyed our stay. Assistance was only a text or call away. Great spot for camping.
These people are genuine and nice, it really has been a blessing to be able stay in their camp ground for as long as we have.
This place is great and a safe place to bring a family even on the most popular camping weekends. A great natural setting that is an alternative to the RV parks and campgrounds that have so much concrete they look like a parking lot. The fishing pond is flat out amazing at times and I haven't stayed at another campground that can come close when it comes to that. You need a reservation and can't just expect to pull in randomly, but texting ahead of time makes things super easy.
This property use to be my Daddy's, he built the ponds by hand!!! I wasn't raised with my bio family, but since being found, we are traveling and showing me where they use to live... What a beautiful place now for a campground experience, he would love that...
This place was awesome! The setting is so relaxing and having shade from the trees was was just what we needed. The hosts were so accommodating. They let us pick out our spot to camp too. We would definitely stay at this sweet place again.
