Campsite: Leisure Lane RV Resort - Conroe

Leisure Lane RV Resort, Conroe Texas. You’re going to like this place.

A beautiful modern RV Resort geared towards the long term visitor and/or resident. Overnighters are also welcome but the daily rate may put some off. That being said it is a gated and secure park and all are indeed welcome. It has a great country feel as it is away from the city, but near enough to connect to. We stayed here a year in our transition into full time RV living as we awaited our final retirement from the workforce. It is also most likely our annual winter haven.

The people here are warm welcoming folk and the staff reflects the same. All are eager to assist and lend a hand when and where needed.

Level, big rig friendly, concrete pads with full hook ups and plenty of space between makes this an easy place to find an accommodating spot. A coaxial connection brings HD cable into the RV while HD OTA reception is also good. For the satellite minded great exposure to the skies throughout the park.

Connectivity

Park WiFi is sufficient for general browsing and email but do not count on being able to stream anything. That being said both AT&T and Verizon offered sufficient signal strength for streaming, with Verizon being the better option. For those that have the Verizon Unlimited MiFi plan (no longer available) you can count on 24/7 non congested access, in short, stream to your hearts content.

Amenities

The facilities are kept at a very high standard of cleanliness. The bath house offers showers with great strength and water temp. The laundry has 2 washers and 2 dryers at $1.75 each. Change available at the onsite store which carried some RV basics. Grocery shopping is available in a short 15-20 minute drive to several shopping options. Check out their amenities page on the website for more information.

X Factor

Bottom line is it is very comfortable, very accommodating and plenty to keep you interested right in the park itself. And just a short drive away is Houston with all it has to offer. Want to keep it natural? Plenty of lakes, parks and adventure are also within a short drive making this a perfect location to satellite off of and visit the area – then retreat to a country calm when done.

Safe travels!

Campsite: My Favorite Campground

A near perfect weekend getaway gem if your goal and aim is some quiet "me" time. Went with some friends on their first ever camp with new trailer and we were not disappointed. Location is off the beaten path but your only about 15-20 minutes away from resupply.

We were met at the entrance by Judy and while we had instructions for arrival, her presence and guiding us into the sites proved important. We parked our 41 ft motorhome in a pull through site (23) and our friends backed their 30 ft trailer into another. Our site was a bit sloped and took a little work to level. Their site was near perfect. Was not able to clearly discern the sites as we pulled in and was extremely thankful Judy guided us. A little grading and perhaps signage and this location is easily 5 stars.

Minimal amenities do not take away from the charm of this place. FHU sites, catch and release fishing, paddle boats and playground equipment. Being a ranch means animals and horses, goats and cows were all out and about (safely separated from inquiring humans).

Wifi was good and cell reception for both Verizon and AT&T were usable for those that must remain connected. No OTA antenna reception but again, we were in search of a quiet place. Light a fire in the firepits and roast some marshmallows.

Enjoyed our stay. Assistance was only a text or call away. Great spot for camping.
