Directions from PA Turnpike Exit 91 Donegal - take a left onto Route 31 East. Go 2 miles and make a right onto Route 711 South at the blinking light, then 2 miles on Rt. 711 South, and we are on the left side.
There are so many permanent structures that it felt like a small campground in the middle of a trailer park. This is definitely a place people take their oversized campers they can’t really pull and put them forever. If you go you must have a golf cart as the pool and other activities are quite far. It also does not feel safe to walk or ride your bike as there are a ton of golf carts going well over the posted 5 miles per hour and the roads are quite narrow. If they added some non-golf cart trails that may help, especially near the water treatment area right in the middle of the campground. The band was good. The pool was nice. The arcade had several games. The amenities overall were good but the ambiance left something to be desired.
Over all we had a lovely stay. There were both pros and cons though the pros far out weighed the cons!
Pro-we were literally in the site across from the golf cart rentals. As we have a pop up it was lovely to pull thru.
The pool (outdoor) is clean and huge with a wonderful snack bar adjacent.
The playgrounds, jump pad. And mini-golf were well maintained.
The fire pits are amazing!
Golf cart rental was super easy.
Cons
While out site was great there is literally no shade.
The Indoor pool was gross. The water was murky, you can barely see the bottom. They need to balance their chemistry.
The bathrooms. They never smelled clean. Never smelled of cleaner or bleach. The grossest thing, we arrived on Monday and there was the same tampon in the stall garbage until Thursday. Meaning the garbage wasn't emptied daily.
Finally no one, staff included follow-through posted speed limit in vehicles or golf carts.
Despite the constant we will go again, but know what to expect for then.
We had a really nice time at Mountain Pines Campground.
We visited just off-season (second weekend in September). The first and only campground we visited with a heated indoor pool.
The surrounding area is beautiful and nearby to restaurants, stores, Seven Springs, and a bunch of other fun outdoor attractions.
The staff was incredibly helpful and nice.
We were really pleased with our stay.
I have both Tent Camped multiple times and booked Cabins for events. The tenting was solidly good, clean and well maintained. The mid sized and large cabins are great! Never had a site staff or infrastructure issue. Highly Recommend.
Had a fantastic time with friends in one of the cabins. (7, Deer) Stayed 3 nights and wish we could have stayed a month! The outdoors pool is huge, and if you want they allow beach chairs in the pool to relax while tanning. We were constantly on the move and enjoyed every second. On most weekends they have a band and the kids really enjoyed this. Make sure to also reserve a cart to easily get from point A to B. Especially on those hot days. Get your firewood 1000 feet from the campground, you won’t miss the house that sells it. Well worth your money. The only down fall was the store on the campground closed at 5, and we really wanted the ice cream, but like everywhere else, short staffed did not allow for it. Reserve your spot now. Thank me later! Great clean kept up facilities.
