The lake and shoreline are private property, there are NO facilities for the general public, so plan accordingly. There is no public fishing from the shore.

Nice views but no public fishing from the shore. Only a public boat launch. Found out the hard way after the long drive. If you want to fish from the shore or enjoy the lake, go.to West Rosebud Lake.

Beautiful place, would go back. Lots of trees for hanging hammocks and tying up the dogs. Close to the lake and hiking trails, location is up close to those beautiful mountains. On the negative side, the bathrooms are horrid. I am not sure if they are only cleaned once a week or what's going on there but it was disgusting and we weren't even there through a whole weekend. 😬 Keeping your pets on leashes is supposed to be a rule but it wasn't enforced and we had dogs run up on our camp to meet our dogs more than once or twice which can be nerve wracking. The road leading up to the area is insanely bumpy, do NOT drive over 5 or 10MPH because there are many corners that are difficult to see oncoming traffic around. (Seems obvious, but apparently not. )

Lastly, this place is busy! You'll likely be able to hear everything your neighbors are saying and doing and they'll hear you too. Once Sunday came the campground emptied and it was much more peaceful so if you can go during the week, that's your best bet. If you're wanting a weekend of peace and quiet, this is likely not the place for you. Trails are busy too and we probably ran into people every 50-100 ft. even on a Sunday.
