Cromwell Dixon Campground, located right on the Continental Divide, provides spectacular views of surrounding country encompassing meadows, timbered slopes, and far away mountains. Trailhead access to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail is nearby. ACTIVITIES Camping Picnicking
Located approximately 15 miles west of Helena at MacDonald Pass off Highway 12.
There is road noise from off in the distance. Unfortunately the beetle kill was bad and 80% of the trees had to be cut down, what a shame to loose so many huge trees. But I will add some pictures to show some remaining beauty.
Nice little campground with great views. Close enough to Helena for in town adventures, remote enough to just disconnect for a few days. Great hosts, good sized sites and did I mention the views.
