The good:
-It’s really clean, large spaces
-Convenient location
-Great gift shop
-Nice staff
The not so good:
-They advertise lighting speed WiFi this is not the case. It’s actually slow and unreliable which sucks because that’s one of the reasons why we chose this place. It was frustrating to have to work.
-I had called ahead and asked if the spots were shaded. They said yes and recommended a spot. Truth is that all the trees on the property are pretty young so don’t expect shade if you’re trying to beat the heat.
-Also advertised is a fitness center. It’s more like a room. Two people and it’s kinda crowded in there. It’s also kinda dirty. There were mouse traps and weird shelving with dying plants. If anything this room could really benefit from some coat hooks.
-The mini golf section was under construction along with what looks like the hot tub portion of the pool.
Overall I feel like I paid a premium price for some pretty disappointing amenities. If only it were just as advertised.
This was one of the better RV resorts we've stayed at while RV'ing. We understand you are updating the park and we appreciate that. The facilities (esp the bathrooms) were very clean. Pool could be a bit cleaner. Loved the location; didn't expect it to be so close to the freeway, but there wasn't any appreciable noise, and it made for convenient travels. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Found all the guests we met to be very friendly and hospitable. Our RV location was ideal as everything we needed was within just a few hundred feet. Keep doing what you are doing, we'd feel very comfortable coming back here.
I found this place via google map on our way to Glacier National Park when we travelled on Route 90, and estimated we would need a safe place to park and rest for the night. It was an easy process to book one out of the two available tent site.
We were very pleased to find the amenities this resort offers, especially the laundry and the shower rooms.
The toilet and the shower rooms were every clean. Actually, these are the cleanest bathrooms I have ever had in my many years camping experience. We were so satisfied with the amenities in Granite Peak RV Resort, so I reserved the same camp site for the night we left Glacier National Park in one week later.
Stopped here for a night on our way to Yellowstone. It was a nice RV park. It was clean, the pool was in great shape, and the kids loved the playground. It’s also nice that all of the main paths are paved so there was no dust. They have a path to the river but we didn’t have time to go, so I wish we could’ve checked that out. We would definitely come back again. It was a real nice park. My only complaint was that there were no fire rings at the temp spots.
We had a change of plans on our vacation and needed a place to stay for a night. They were able to accommodate us on short notice on a weekend. We had a pull through site that was large enough for our 35’ fifth wheel. We had a little trouble pulling in due to the wood framing the spot, but after a couple of tries, we made it just fine.
The campground has easy on/off access to the highway, which was nice. And even though it is close to the highway, it was quiet.
We enjoyed the hiking trails that they have groomed around the park. It was hot, so we didn’t stay out too long, but I’m sure if the weather had been cooler, we would have enjoyed it more.
All in all, we were impressed with Granite Peak and would definitely stay again.
