This is a beautiful Lake and Campground right here in Central Montana I understand it is the largest lake in the area with no weight limit 4 speed boats most sites have a firepit and there is three primitive restrooms one on each side of the lake
From the photos I saw online with mountains, this lake what not what I was expecting. Those mountainous photos are incorrect. Has several camp sites, one boat launch (there may be another I just didn't go down that far), 2 or 3 outhouses. The day I went was towards the end of summer so the lake was low, grass dry and brown, and super chilly. Otherwise it seemed to be a decent place to fish as observed by the retirees out on boats and along the shore fishing. The picture I am including shows how high the water can be. Also there is tons of seaweed, but most lakes have that.
Not a lot of trees and a bit windy at times but a pretty little lake at sunset and sunrise. Fishing is always a surprise, you never know if you are going to get a Rainbow, Kokanee or Northern Pike.
Caught our limit in 3 hours. Want crowded the day we went. Water was clear and warm. Great day!
