Gorgeous spot to stop and spend the night! The river is super picturesque. Agree with another review about the superb cleanliness of the bathroom also. The campground hosts were amazing. Very friendly and helpful regarding the area and Yellowstone. Would definitely stay again.
My favorite place to hang and have a fire.grill some food and play with my pup!
Nice location next to the river. Clean pit toilets. Lots of highway noise but the price is super reasonable. I’m giving this campground a 2 because there is an unbelievable infestation of knapweed throughout the campground. This absolutely needs to be addressed to stop the spread of this invasive, aggressive weed from spreading to other weed free places in Montana and beyond….
4.5/5. For the price (~$30), it is 5 stars. But this is a no frills campground. It only includes 30 amp for power. Your adapter will work but you will blow the breaker if you run all of your ACs.
The setting is beautiful and the river between you and the highway makes it extra special. The sites along the river are closer to the highway but actually have less road noise. The sites are okay but aren’t terribly level and can be a little muddy. The camp hosts are really nice. It’s a friendly, laid back atmosphere. I believe it is the closest you can bring an RV to Big Sky.
Pro tip: They post open spots for that night each morning on the bulletin board when you pull-in. We were able to snag an extra night this way.
