Cheap and convenient camp site for a road trip stop. The only downside is that it is right by the highway which is pretty noisy so it's not as ideal if you want a quieter and more secluded experience
We travel across the country and this has got to be one of the worst campgrounds we’ve experienced to date. It is literally off of the side of the highway, which made for a very noisy night. We could literally throw a rock from our site to the highway (no exaggeration).
This campground was very nice overall, we actually had site 5,it is close to the vault toilet and really close to the drinking water, but the 3stars is because the campground is only a few yards (10) from the busy hwy, even at night the traffic made it difficult to sleep. However plenty of shade
Decent enough campground with general availability, plenty of wooded green space between campsites for privacy, 20-30 minute proximity to the Bozeman area if you need groceries and/or urgent care, and such. Camp Host has plenty of firewood for $8/bundle, so if you forget yours bring cash.
But if you absolutely LOVE the 24 hour of background traffic noise, semis on rumble strips, and semis with Jake-brakes at 12:30am, this is the campground for you! If you're looking for quiet, keep looking.
If you have IBS or Crohn's, or even small children, book a site closer to the singular toilet near the entrance, everything else is a good walk from the toilet, and when seconds matter...just trust me.
They also have some massive rabbits hopping around, so be sure to keep your dogs leashed.
