The campground rests under the towering cliff faces of Blodgett Canyon which are very popular to rock climbers. Blodgett Canyon Picnic Area is across Blodgett Creek. Campground can accommodate RV's or trailers to 45 feet.
From Hamilton, MT go west on Main Street for 1 mile, turn north (right) onto Ricketts Road and travel 0.5 miles. Turn west (left) onto Blodgett Camp Rd/FS 736, and follow approximately 4 miles to the campground.
Such a beautiful scenic place right on the creek. Lots of shade from the trees and clean restrooms. Picnic tables and fire rings for those camping overnight.
wow!! this was the best campground I've ever stayed at!! beautiful beautiful views and only six sites (get there early!) so it was quiet. there's a creek to wade in and a nice hike. bathrooms available
Small camp ground that is fine for 20-30 foot rvs. National campground with no charge. No hook ups but it's beautiful for a very quiet evening. Mike dirt road leading to it.
It's free, close to US 93 and Hamilton. Pit toilet but only water is the creek. Very nice hiking trail starts at the campground and more in the area.
Looking for a campsite with an unbeatable view in the mountains? This is it. Bonus? It's free! Get there early though because there is very few spots. Although if you've got an RV or campervan (like I did) you can park it in the parking lot and stay. There's a toilet but no water. I stayed at a hotel the night prior. If I would have known about this campground I would have dismissed the hotel stay. Amazing views! My boyfriend and I were speechless.
