The park is an icon in originally constructed in 1965 and is right on the Bitterroot River, but with modern amenities. We are open year-round in the upper campground. Thinking of wintertime camping? We have a Conestoga Wagon with all the cozy essentials for a great glamping experience, even in winter - great for that ski trip at Lost Horse. We also have a great general store with groceries, local beers, wine, local Montana jams, honey, and other local merchandise and all the rv and fishing supplies you may need. The great plus is we have a great Angler's Roost family ready to help make your camping experience relaxing and enjoyable. Look forward to seeing you.
Just look for the red general store off Hwy 93 S, about 3 miles south of Hamilton and immediately east of the Bitterroot River over the bridge coming north from Darby
Had a very pleasant evening camped along the Bitterroot River. Owners are updating/remodeling, including new restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.
Very clean campsite, new showers, excellent welcome. Our recharging GPS disappeared, the manager Glorie found it the next day after our departure by bike. She looked for us in the campsites to the south and came to hand it over to us 55 kilometers away. A big thank-you. The grateful KUHNs.
Front desk lady is super sweet. Bathrooms are filthy. Black mold in the showers. Trash wasn't emptied and the toilets and showers were not disinfected for the full week we stayed. Refused to extend our stay past 7 days. Didn't matter if we moved sites, moved tent, came with someone else. We had a nice clean tent space on the water and was told we couldn't stay because it had to be a different tent. 😒 Went further down the road to the Black Rabbit. Would highly recommend them over Anglers Roost.
Nice campground with a few sites right down by the river. Not a fan of having to pay an additional $20 fee to use the dump station since about 1/2 of the sites don't have sewer hookups.
