What dirty, nasty place to work. Kitchen is disgusting, not a single food safety procedure is followed or enforced. The management is drunk most of the time and will do NOTHING for their employees except pass the blame.
Old food is served, chicken wings sit out on trays for hours in the basement where they allow a homeless man to live. The basement is also where people pop their pills and smoke their dope.
Food in The walk in refrigerators is laying out, uncovered and in a very warm environment down there since that is where all the mechanics are located to run the lodge.
The female GM spends more time hitting on boys half her age than she does doing her job. That's probably why they run out of everything including Pepsi, which is used in many drinks.
Next time you're eating ask to see the kitchen and you'll never eat there again. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS OR EMPLOYEES, JUST MONEY.
This place needs to be closed down and not allowed to reopen until things are up to code. Look in the dirty bathroom at the base lodge. Tiles are missing, dirty, moldy, nasty place and the kitchen is even worse down there.
Food is rotting away in the coolers, bugs in the booze bottles, and food. I guess when the owner has money and supports local politics he is allowed to break laws and rules that are set to PROTECT customers.
I'm not sure if anyone there even has a food safety certificate, I never saw one posted anywhere like it's supposed to be.
Lastly most of the time their prices don't match up with the menu,
SO you think you're paying 17.99 but if you look on your ticket it'll be more.
They are too lazy or drunk to fix it. If it was the other way though it would get fixed right a way. As a former there bartender, I noticed this a lot and mentioned it many times, nobody seemed to care and I was basically told to not mention it to the customers because it would take too long to re adjust all the tickets. Over priced, low quality food, STAY AWAY! There are dozens of options better than this place to work for or to support as a customer. Go find them, you'll be much happier and probably healthier.
My daughter and I have been going here for a couple of years now, and the hill is great, with several runs that all intersect at the base.
The cost of food went up drastically this year. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 small fries- for $38! When checking in for our season passes, the woman kept refering to my daughter as 'he' even though she was wearing pink and purple, had a purple helmet on- and was wearing eye make up! Each time, I corrected the woman, but she must not have heard me. And to be clear, she is a biological girl, not a boy choosing female pronouns or anything like that. She does not dress, act or look like a boy.
Haven't stayed at their resort, so I can't comment on that- but I did overheard one of the snow groomers, and he really is good at his job.
Overall it's got a great nostalgic feeling with old school 80s music on the speakers, a warm inviting feeling with outdoor fireplaces. Just bring a snack, and don't be offended if your child is miss-gendered I guess
This is a difficult review to write, this place is so amazing there is a part of you hoping others won’t find it. The trophy lodge is nothing short of amazing and the food and drinks were, well yummy! Went back two nights in a row to eat. The waitress was amazing as well, by the end of dinner my daughter seemed to be beasties with her, so much so that we needed to drive back up just for a hug and goodbye at the end of our trip.
Everyone from the grill guy who made us breakfast burritos to the guest services folks and even the chair lift and tube crew seemed more like neighbors than staff.
I’ve skied all my life, I was skeptical about how much fun I may or may not have, don’t let the size or number of runs fool you, this place is a blast! Complete with magic carpet for the littles!
I’d recommend! Looking forward to coming back in the summer. Oh and to answer the burning question of this place or spirit mtn? Well… if you love waiting in line go to spirit, and leave my secret place secret ;)
We were here for a work event, kids had a Blast tubing, food was good and staff was great.
We were actually here a couple weeks prior but the tubing controls were water logged (lovely 30⁰+ winter) so they gave us a discount on rental and lift to accommodate.
Would highly recommend especially for younger and novice alike.
There's a bad system in place on the rental side. If you need to change boot sizes expect to sit in front of a computer filling out a bunch of personal information for a few minutes instead of the person behind the counter just helping you like they could easily do after you just paid $350 for your family to ski for the day. Good snow, good views, and good people working the chair lifts more than make up for a few bad attitudes though. Family had a fun time, and I had a fun time.
