20 miles north of Deer River on Highway 46. Turn west on Eagle Nest Road (FR 2198) and follow the road for 2 ½ miles. East Seelye Bay has 13 campsites, a picnic area, a swimming beach, boat ramp and parking area. The Cut Foot Sioux National Recreation Trail runs past the campground and along Seelye Point. | Site Map
From Deer River, MN, take US Rt. 2 west 0.8 miles to State Rt. 46. Turn right onto Rt. 46 and go 19.1 miles to Eagle Nest Rd. Turn left onto Eagle Nest Rd. (dirt and gravel) and go 2.5 miles to campground on left.
Don't bother trying to bring a trailer over 26'. There was no turn around point like the map said, and it took me forever to back it out in the middle of the night. There was also only one open spot.
However, it would be good if you wanted to be by a lake in a tent. If you are looking for trail riding as in ATV/UTV look elsewhere.
It's a great quiet Campground great for a day of fishing and boating back to the campsite
Very close to the water. Outhouse available. Fish cleaning station with pump water close to campground. Beautiful scenery.
