We were there in the eve of the Sunset. There was a Snowfall probably a couple of those earlier and lots of snow, but the Roadside’s and we drive through the all the way to Jake check with Roadside and Phone very interesting and beautiful. We found two moose’s in front of our car and they are leading us for a couple of miles. they are not giving us a space to overtake them.
Gorgeous color changing leaves. Not great parking, but even on Saturday it was doable.
Gorgeous! Driving up the canyon has always made me nervous. I think some drive too fast. The bikers on the side make me nervous too. Other than that wow during the fall it will just take your breath away! We paid $5 on our way down
Incredible canyon! When you start to go up and get higher it becomes a 1.5 lane road. Just gets a little tight. So your car might get a little scratched from twigs etc.
We used to visit the canyon often in the 70s & 80s then the county made it fee based and I never checked to see what it was so we just didn't get back. After all these years we decided to take a trip to see if it was as good as we remembered. It was a weekday visit at about 4 PM and it was sparsly visited. The leaves were beautiful. We stopped and walked through different picnic 🧺 areas we used to frequent. Everything was in great condition. Tables, bridges, footpaths looked like new so it seems the fees are put to good use. I should mention that the fee is only $3.00 but this is in October so it's possible that it is an off season fee. At the risk of getting the secret out, it was beautiful and restorative to be there.
