This is a great park. Stay away from those high priced RV parks in Green River, UT. It is also closer to Arches NP and Moab than those parks in Green River, UT. The current rate is $45/night or $225/week. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This place has full hookups, 30 and 50 amp electrical, free (good) wifi and cable. The sites are wide and long with many pull through sites. We have a forty foot fifth wheel trailer with four slides and we were able to park our truck and trailer side by side with room to spare. The road and pads are gravel and level. It is located 1/2 mile off of I-70 in Thompson Springs, 24 miles east of Green River. UT.

We stayed a month in Ballard Rv park in our toyhauler/camper. We had our Enduro bikes to ride the desert trails. We absolutely loved our stay and hated to leave. We became friends with staff and so glad we chose this campground. IT was extremely clean , very safe and accommodating. Nice rates and nice cabin rentals are available too. We will definitely be back again.

Bathrooms are clean, employees attentive and location is well you decide. There are canyons behind here to explore. It’s a 45 minute drive to Moab and some of the more popular venues.

It is very well suited for the side by side or 4x4 enthusiasts - they can get - like tonight a bit loud -

Thompson springs is not a thriving town it has seen its better days.

If you would like to visit the Moab area attractions, yet stay in a peaceful and remote location away from the crowds, this is an excellent choice of campgrounds. The office staff was extraordinary. The sites are very large and well-maintained. Some canyons within 5 miles to explore and only about a half an hour from Arches NP. No nearby businesses other than the gas station/convenience store, so planning your trips into town is challenging but doable. Could use some additional amenities such as a real dog walking area and playground. Lots of gravel and dirt around. Fantastic October weather!

Ballard RV park was a good fit for us. We stayed in (their) canvas tent for five nights in November, 2022. Bathrooms and showers were clean and always available, as was self-serve laundry. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the serene desert environment and the campground itself was quiet. We'd be happy to return anytime or recommend this park to others.
