Quaint campground next to historic town. Super easy access to I-70. There is a train that right RIGHT NEXT to the campground. The sound didn’t bother us and I’m betting kids live watching it!
The sites are level and spacious. $36 for full hookup. The trash dumpster was overflowing (which the owner acknowledged) and unfortunately our large site was next to it. We didn’t realize the problem until we were already set up. Otherwise we could have asked for a different site as there were many to. Hose from.
I love Mill Creek! Beautiful, quiet campground, well spread-out sites, grassy grounds, lovely town for walking in the evening and morning, laundry, full hook-ups, and they often sell necessities like eggs and milk. Some people might mind the trains' proximity but I happen to love hearing them. Mill Creek will even deliver breakfast to your camper! 😍
A very sweet little campground with acreage around.Owner was a sweet woman who took good care of us. Ice, laundry, showers. Clean and decent and a fantastic value, right off I-70,as your traveling through. Lovely little town of Paxico takes you back in time.
Nice, chill campground right off of the highway! We pulled in late at night, and were not sure if they had late check in options - they *do* have a little stand at the front that is well lit and has self check in directions :-) we tent camped next to our uhaul in a pull through spot and found it very comfortable. It is between the interstate and train tracks, so bring earplugs - we did so and slept great.
Hidden gem. The cabins are fair priced and cozy year-round. The creek is relaxing and fun to kayak in, right under the interstate! Clean bathrooms and hot showers. The local bar and grill has great food and pool table, or you can order pizza/breakfast from the campground office, which is fair priced and tasty! Delivered to your campsite too! Office has plenty of groceries/necessities on hand. Kids playground, horseshoes, picnic tables, shelter area with grill, great campsite.
