Review rating is based on site availability only. There are five FHU sites near the fitness center. For the most part, these sites essentially augment billeting for drilling or temporary duty military members. There may be one site available but don’t plan on it. You can drive by the north side of the facility and check out the number of RVs there before navigating the gate and making the SP pull up and move the barrier pylons. If there are five RVs, there’s no point in going through the gate. An alternative is the Klamath County Fairgrounds if you are just passing through. It has a three day limit, around ten FHU sites in a gravel parking lot, and usually has space available for approximately $25 per night.
The campground is still being renovated so no hookups but there is a gym right next to the campgrounds so we were able to take very hot showers and the kids played in the gym to get some of their energy out. They have a dump station so we were also able to empty our tanks also. We boondocked in the parking lot for the night. This is a military base.
