A boat launch for Fish Lake (10 mph) is within the campground and many amenities are offered at nearby Fish Lake Resort. Recreation Fish Lake Campground offers outstanding fishing, swimming and hiking. Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and boat access (10 mph) are available from the boat ramp. Numerous hiking trails are within easy access, including the Fish Lake, High Lakes, Brown Mountain, and the famous Pacific Crest Trail, as well as the Sky Lakes Wilderness and Mount McLoughlin Trail system. Many biking trails exist, including back-country and county highways. Facilities This large campground contains quiet and secluded campsites to accommodate groups, families and individuals. Many sites are large enough to accommodate RVs and trailers but cannot accommodate RV hookups at this time. The Sno-Park is an awesome asset to the area during the winter.

You don't want my opinion on this place personally it's destyoed from what it was my grand father and I and some times a couple of friends would back pack into the lake there were no roads and we only ever ran into one person the place was like it was so many years ago now there are roads and a boat ramp we carried our boat in on our backs you had to do the work to get there and any thing you wanted you had to carry I'm disappointed in the ease to get to the lake now we had to fight the bears for our fish now its people and they are worse

The park it self is closed but the road going down to the boat ramp is open. The lake is down a little bit but you can still launch a boat. I fished most of the day and tried a lot of different power baits. I never got any bites but I got a short nap in. It got really windy around 4pm so me and my brother called it a day.

Haha. We stopped there to stretch our legs and take in the scenery. The best part was not having a park host ask us for money since it was too early in the camping season. I miss being able to go to a park or lake for a quick getaway and not have to pay to enjoy Mother nature. 😕 Seems like the taxes should take care of this. (sigh). BTW, the lake was beautiful.

Our campground was perfect, the weather was perfect, everything was perfect. Except....the bathrooms just need a basic cleaning, and also the host at the campground was rude to my lady.
