Stunning natural beauty in this whole area.

This place becomes more interesting the more you are willing to hike and explore, though there are some great views available just while driving, or within shorter walks.

2nd time here. Big huge camping areas. It's a huge park with a dark park. Also, many senic stopping spots it definitely is a wilderness. Many trail systems. We love it here close to the upper peninsula and mackinaw best of both.

We camped the whole weekend and yes there were alot of people but you still have your own sense of peace. Tons of people with campers and r.vs. I guess not alot of people can rough it like they used to!! Lol but hey to each their own. Very close to Mackinac city! Beautiful water views! We had visitors everyday of blue Jay's and that was amazing to see!! The place is very well kept.

Great park! New restrooms with dish washing stations. New fire pits as well. Great views of Lake Michigan and the bridge and miles and miles of beach to walk. Trail system as well for hiking. Our only complaint is almost all the camping spots are set up for trailers, motor homes. There's very few spots with electricity that have a good spot for a larger tent. Can't put tent stakes in gravel and the small grassy areas were right next to the fire pits. They have rustic tent spots, but we need the electricity.

We had an amazing week camping here! Fellow campers and staff were friendly and quiet. We enjoyed taking pictures of the night sky in the dark park next to the headquarters and even caught one photo showing a glimpse of the Aurora! We hiked 5 miles on the Nebo trail! It was beautiful! I only wish there had been 2-3 more benches along the trail to rest at. I was very grateful to find the one bench about midway through- so thanks for that! There were plenty of restroom facilities around. Lots of gorgeous views of Lake Michigan. The whole place was well kept and clean. We very much enjoyed the park and highly recommend it.
