Great rustic campground. Water well, and vault toilets but don't let that stop you from visiting this hidden gem. The fire pits have attached grills, and all sites have lantern poles. Several sites lead directly to lake. Nice place, maintained well.

Next to a paved road with fast traffic but there's a lower area next to the lake. Clean vaulted toilet trash pickup water pump picnic tables fire rings and lantern holes. Tends to get busy on the weekends. Lots of shade with a view of walk-up lake boat access. It's $10 per night but they use is free.

We stayed Thursday through Sunday in August. There are several sites up near the entrance, three sites down closer to the lake, and two sites near the boat launch. A couple of days and nights there were rowdy campers at the upper level. There is a fair amount of road noise off and on . One camper that was doing some fishing said it caught 22 bluegills. The vault toilet was clean.

Not a ton of hiking options, but this was a cozy little campground. It was open later in the season than the other campgrounds around it, so it worked perfectly for fall camping. The trees are beautiful in the fall. It's got a vault toilet also, which was a huge plus.
