River Country Campground and Livery is located in Evart Michigan. We are located right on the Muskegon River. We offer tubing, kayaking, and canoe trips. We have a range of sites both on and off the river. All sites have water and electric. Some sites do have sewer hookups. We have a dump station right on site as well. Visit our website for more information or feel free to give us a call here in the office. We are a family oriented campground and have something for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you!
We are 3.5 miles north of US 10, on the right hand side of River Road. To get to River Road, follow US10 to Evart – River Road is one block east of the only traffic light. Turn north onto River Road, go 2 miles to ‘Y’ in road – stay to right and go 1.5 miles. The campground is on the right hand side.
It is not a rustic campground. Good for Rvs, and people who do not worry about privacy. Good tubing, kayaking, and prices at the convenient shop. There is even a game room and small laundry facility. Electric at each site, close set sites, some sites with fantastic spots on the river. The people are good people. We lucked out with an end site that had the only forest surrounding!
I loved it. I had a fun time with friends here in September of 2021 went tubing and kayaking! I also played volleyball with strangers it was really fun. I would come back.
I just love camping here!! Everyone is so friendly!! Angela and Charles are so sweet to us everytime we come in. They have a great staff that will help you with anything. The seasonal campers are so nice also I even had them offer us breakfast and dinner one day!! I can not say enough great things about this place!!!! We have even come in early and they said no problem and sent one of the boys to make sure our site was clean. Hand dipped ice cream is so good and the cones are huge!! When we camp here we are here for 10 days or more at a time, 3 years and still going!!!! The day we were leaving there was a line for the dump station and Charles came out and handed us all waters . He said im so sorry for the wait . He didn't have to do that but that was so sweet of him to do. This is why I come back every year, and will continue to bring my kids here and friends and family.
Peaceful little campground with helpful staff and small beach area off the Muskegon River. River is wide and shallow making 4 hour tubing and kayaking trips a must while your there! No worries if you don't have something to float on. The campground will provide for a small fee.
