Rustic, pet friendly, flushing toilets/sinks/soap, pit toilets, potable well water pumps. $19/night, first come/serve only. Can get a little swampy in place if it has been raining, so choose a site carefully.
Quiet, peaceful, nature, beautiful views of the lake, nice fire pit, outhouse is only a toilet, annoying flies (August). I thank Jesus for this place!
We took our first trip with a new 5th wheel at this campground. The outhouses were clean and surprisingly not very stinky, the bathrooms with toilets & water were nice. There are no showelectricity/hook ups for campers. Our dog escaped our camper & the camp hosts, Tara and her hubby ( sorry forgot his name!) kept her, even fed her steak, she posted our dogs picture on the Houghton Lake Facebook group too. When we got stuck pulling out they used their truck to help, they kept the campground clean, were exceptionally friendly and fun.
