Great county park for locals and out of towners. Has been a staple in our community for many years. They hold the county fair there.
Our favorite beach, with something for everyone. Mostly sand very minimum rocky areas. Water temp is always perfect.
Shakey Lakes is definitely an U.P. up north spot. Camping, Fishing, and hometown hospitality. The fishing is ok. There are many campers who enjoy the grounds, including a small sand beach, which includes a snack shack. Restrooms are clean.
It’s a great camp site. Honestly i go to shaker lakes probably 10 times a summer and most of those times we go their for five or six or seven days. It’s a perfect campground for people who like a clean area. The fishing experience their is awesome. They have a gaming shack their and it has a game that has a nice chair with cluch, brake and gas. Not to mention it has 4 speed manual in it. There is a lot more to explore in shaker lakes.
