From junction Hwy 93 & Hwy 72: Proceed 5 miles west on Hwy 72, turn south on Mcintyres Landing and continue for 1/4 mile. Next, turn west onto a gravel road and continue for 2 miles.
Campgrounds were clean, but bathrooms were very smelly and filled with files. The campgrounds are a bit of a distance from dnr and such so problems with loud near by campgrounds will go unsolved. A near by military site can be noisy but not too problematic
The lake near the site can be very shallow so not great for fishing but great for swimming with your kids.
This lake and campground is absolutely breathtaking! The camp site are right on the lake amazing views. We didn’t stay here we were just exploring would love to stay here these sites are first come first serve and very limited. Also the local airbase has been dumping in this lake with high levels of chemicals in the lake. I wouldn’t let my kids swim in it o even kayak it for that matter. Such a shame and so sad that they are getting away with destroying our beautiful state!!!!
This is an absolutely beautiful park. It is on the water, small number of sites, but they are large spaced well and have tons of trees. Hands down the best view and nicest site I have ever stayed in! We loved the shallow clean water. Pretty trail along the water. It was so beautiful my husband who is not a camper, didn't even mind the outhouse!!!!!!
The ONLY negative is the sound of gun from the shooting ranges ( only mentioned in case someone in your party has PTSD) and lack of trashcans near the outhouse
