A 10 spot site..no water..no charge..there is a vault toilet but there is a charm to this campground. You can hear the trucks rumbling by at night but if you are quiet in the morning you will get a visit..nature at its best !
Free! 10 campsites, vault toilets, pack-in pack-out. Completely full when I got there, so I shared a campsite with a road worker-- our site was quite large. Picnic tables and firepits available. Full due to road workers and probably firemen (due to fires in the area) so get there before 3pm if you want a spot.
Gorgeous, quiet, free campground. It had toilets but you need to bring your own water. The sites are well spaced and shady, with mixed fir and aspen. The fire pits are metal and have a grill. Tons of wildlife!
It's close to Carbondale for supply runs, and near Marble and Redstone for hiking and fishing
Free campground up to 14 days with restrooms without water or trash. No cell service and some road noise, but not too much traffic. Only 10 sites on a first come basis. Paved road with gravel sites. Beautiful forest around and high air quality. What can you ask for more?
