About Campground

Nestled on 110 acres of rolling land, Lower Allen Community Park (LACP) is in the southern part of the Township at 4075 Lisburn Road. It is an ideal location for retreats or meetings, weddings, parties, picnics, family reunions, athletic games and tournaments, special events, or just to simply enjoy family or some quiet time alone. In 2008, Capital Blue Cross and Central Penn Parent Magazine readers awarded LACP as the Second Best Park/Playground.

The park offers pavilions, play areas, camp sites and numerous athletic fields for rent.

The Camping area is located on the banks of the Yellow Breeches Creek and is perfect for anyone who likes to get back to nature. These “primitive” camp sites are available for tent camping. A nature trail, which winds its way through park pointing out native flowers and foliage, sets the backdrop for your camping getaway.

Beautiful, well-maintained park! We love walking the nature trail with the Yellow Breeches flow by and spotting the occasional fisherman or kayaker.

This is a beautiful park, perfect for trail running. It's honestly one of the nicest public parks I've been to as it abounds with beauty and variety. It runs alongside a creek with boat access. It has marked wooded trail loops, camping sites, open fields, porta-potties, a glorious kids park, pickle ball court, dog park, etc... This park is amazing, again, one of the nicer parks that you'll find.

A great asset for the local community. There is plenty of space. Playgrounds, picnic areas, courts, ball field, dog park, and best of all, Yelllow Breeches. I have often walked upon deer in the late afternoon and a great place to see turtles.

We love this park. There is always so much space to picnic, toss out a blanket and just chill for a few hours. The park is laid out very well with signs to direct you to each specific part of the park. The walking trails along the creek are amazing..i proposed there on the little bridge. There is basketball courts, baseball fields, tennis courts, etc. The bird watching area is my favorite part of the park..the walking trails lead to it or there is parking with a pavilion in that area too. They have a driving range as well that i was unaware of until just recently.

there is a dog park for large and small breed dogs..rules are posted outside the fence. Dogs are welcome on all the park areas but must be on a lead if not in the dog park.

Huge wooden fun fort for the kids..and other play grounds for kids throughout the park.

On the weekends during the summer if you don't like a busy park..i'd avoid this one. there are baseball games, and kayakers over running it. It's a kayaking drop off/pick up point. there is a small boat dock at the bottom of the park for easy access. It's always jammed packed and parking is a pain during peak season.

There are multiple porter potties all over the park. Public bathrooms with running water open in the spring..they are located at the wooden fort..and the red barn at the front of the park.

Took my kids there when they were little 30+ years ago, and yesterday I took my grandson. He had as much fun as his mom did. The upkeep has been awesome. It looks the same.
