If you haven't had an opportunity to stay at Lost Acres I urge you to try it. Honestly we had a couple of rough years when new ownership took over and ironed out the bumps. This year (2023) has been amazing. Our manager, Shara has done a tremendous job and her staff have performed exceptionally well. They are always happy to answer questions and provide assistance. There is so much to do here. There is the jumping pad, playground, swimming pool, pickle ball, cornhole tournaments all weekend, wagon rides, fishing, planned activities for children and adults and a game room. If you prefer staying at your campsite around your fire that is also an option. The campstore is very well stocked. You will find this is a very friendly campground and once you've stayed you'll look forward to coming back. We love Lost Acres!

First time visiting this campground. Arrived after office closed, so they left key pass at the gate for us.

Staff and annual campers were friendly and welcoming. Amenities include a camp store, which includes a game room. They also have board games to play with seating to do so. A clean laundromat, a pavilion, and pool that is open from 9 until dusk (I’d check to see if it’s open if you visit after Labor Day).

They weekend we were there, they had a food truck, 1 huge inflatable water slide, 1 huge inflatable challenge coarse (both free and for kids and adults), face painting and cotton candy small fee. I was told they have many activities throughout the summer. Almost forgot that have free mini golf too.

Highly recommend this campground.

What a nice campground! Reserving a spot was easy and the seasonal folks were super nice. We were invited to come play bags and hang out and the grounds were well kept. We arrived late due to unforseen issues and they had everything I needed to get to my spot and get settled at the gate for me.

Excellent location just a few blocks from everything in the Monticello region.

Coming from Northwest Indiana and needing to stay fairly close to home we thought this was a perfect destination and we look forward to coming back!

My husband and I stayed at lost acres for about 3 months while he was working in the area. I can only say great things! The campground itself is beautiful, quiet and made me feel very safe! The people in and running the campground are wonderful as well! I even locked myself out of the camper and had a line of people willing to try their keys to help me! I couldn’t be happier with our stay and I’m actually sad we had to leave. If we are ever in the area again, without question we will be staying here!

I must begin by expressing my disbelief at the number of immature adults who seem to have a common agenda: targeting the manager's character in a rather tasteless manner. We've been at this campground for two months now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best campgrounds we've ever experienced. In this short span, they've undertaken numerous improvements, including new picnic tables and fire rings. They're constantly working to upgrade the lots, which is impressive.

Despite facing two significant storms during our stay, the management responded swiftly. When a tree almost fell perilously close to us, a tree removal company was on-site within days. As for the claim of the manager being unfriendly, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, this individual has dedicated themselves to reshaping the campground's culture. Initially, we were hesitant to come here due to negative reviews, but I implore you not to be deterred by them. This is undoubtedly one of the finest campgrounds we've visited in a long time.

Of course, there are a few areas where they can improve, but the legacy left by the previous owners can't be rectified overnight. I tip my hat to the manager and the entire staff for their hard work. I've gotten to know the grounds crew quite well, and they are a wonderful group of friendly individuals. Currently, I am staying on site 11.
