Welcome to Doddridge County Park! Doddridge County Park was founded in 1972 as a 57 acres park and has since grown to an over 250-acre park. The Park is situated in a natural setting in the heart of North Central West Virginia. The Park has grown and added many features over the years that provide people with fun and challenging visits. With picnic areas, playgrounds, pool and sports courts the Park can entertain from the youngest guest to the oldest. Each year The Park welcomes visitors from over 25 different states.
In 2012 the Doddridge County Park was gifted over 180 acres from Lone Pine Operating, LLC that helped expand it toward its present size. This gift spurred the Park Commission to begin a master planning process that culminated in 2014 with a plan to add several amenities to the Park. Planned upgrades include; an RV Park, tent sites and yurts that will form the foundation for Lone Pine Campground at Doddridge County Park. Additionally, hiking and biking trails, zip line, stream access for kayaking and canoeing, and a disk golf course were laid out. After adoption, the plan was launched in 2015. Over a six to eight-year period ending between 2020 and 2022 the Park will be transformed into an outdoor enthusiasts’ playground.

Great find! This RV park is huge and fare priced. RV sites are nestled along the river. We were here over Halloween weekend, the park was full but not overcrowded due too it's size. They had movie night, a haunted house and plenty of outdoor activities to do. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is definitely a favorite.
Out of all the parks I have visited this one is by far the best! This park is the cleanest park I've ever seen, when you visit you can tell the staff keep up maintenance very well. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty, & bend over backwards for people visiting. I highly recommend all visit this park. Jon and Greg are the best.
We visited during the Mountain State Scottish Games and Celtic Festival. This is a nice big park with multiple walking paths, playgrounds, sunny and shaded seating areas, and a very inviting splash pad with a bucket water drop (so fun). There was also plenty of space for another group having a birthday party in a pavilion down the hill, despite the festival. It is just a 30 minute drive from Clarksburg/Bridgeport area. We will definitely be back in the future and recommend a visit if you are in the area.
A fun park for the little ones with two playgrounds to pick from for the little ones and a basketball court for the older kids. The pool ($5 entry fee) is awesome with a 13' deep end and two diving boards plus a cool splash park at the back complete with a big waterside and giant drench bucket. The pool lifeguards and concession stand are very friendly and they sell snacks, drinks, and food at a great price to give you everything you need to spend a whole day enjoying your fun in the sun.
Very nice and clean. Frisbee golf course, trails, rv hookups, yurts, camping. Lots of nature everywhere. Showehouse and flush toilets are a nice touch as well. Not hard to find, about five minutes off of US 50. There are some pumping stations on the hillside overlooking the park that run constantly but are mostly a low hum. Apparently the wells fund the park and its amenities. Very nicely maintained.
