From I-64/77 take Exit 42 and follow signs for Sophia. Once in Sophia, turn right on W. Main Street. Drive for 3 miles and Burning Rock is on your left.
Awesome place to go wheeling. Some great lookouts and fun trails for everyone.
Had a wonderful day on the trails here. We will be returning in the near future. Spent a good 6 hours out riding the trails and didn't even cover half of the areas we wanted to ride. Trails are wonderful, well maintained, easy to follow, and clearly marked. Prices for the level of access are very reasonable. Wonderful addition to southern WV. Do yourself the favor, load up the gear and family, and fo check them out. You will not be disappointed!
This place was great, and the folks running it couldn't have been nicer. Really beautiful property- I'd love to camp there next time. I had a blast on the trails, but there are some parts of the "green" trails were fairly difficult that might challenge beginner riders a bit. Can't wait to go back and ride the other parts I wasn't able to cover in 2 days.
I can’t say enough good things about Burning Rock. From the trails to the staff to the owners. Who actually stoped buy our campsite several times to check on things and offer information on the trails. We stayed in a full hook up RV site for 5 days and wished we could have stayed longer. Burning Rock will forever be one of our regular stops for side by side riding. The place is amazing. Thank you Kenny, Diane, and all the staff for a great weekend!
We attended Rock and Rowdy. Nice park !! Very clean. I op-ed for full hook up with my toy hauler. Very nice, well-kept spots. I wasn't very impressed when, at some point, in the middle of the night, someone pulled in, in-between me and the neighbor, set up, and fired up a generator. I'm not sure if it was just because of the event this was allowed, but I had chosen full hook up thinking no generators. Overall, we had a great time. Thank you for allowing us to do our thing at your park.
