If it wasn't so close to the road it would be one of the best campgrounds around. Nice, big spots right on the lake. The road noise didn't bother us but if you are looking for complete peace and quiet this might not be your bag, baby.

My all time favorite campground. I took my 3 daughters here 35-40 years ago nearly every weekend when it was little known and first-come, first-served. It’s much harder to camp there now, as it’s become reservation-only and you have to book it for a group but it’s still the prettiest around. Sites are on the beach, but they closed my favorite one on the hill.
